The Lab of Foreign Language Teaching of the School of English, in collaboration with the organization “me 2 glosses” (Bilingualism Matters), is pleased to announce the organization of a one-day workshop titled “CLIL in Greek state education: Best teaching practices”. The event will be held face-to-face on Sunday 2 April 2023 at the Aristotle University Research Dissemination Center and registration will be free.
This one-day workshop aims to provide educators of any specialty, in both primary and secondary education, with the opportunity to present their own instructional experience with CLIL method. Our overall aim is to create a collection of ‘best practices in CLIL’ and publish them in order to facilitate dissemination of this method in state education.
Programme
Abstract submissions should meet the following guidelines:
- They should be anonymous and written in English or Greek.
- They should be up to one page long (single spaced, 2.5cm margins on all sides and 12pt Times New Roman font size). The one-page limit includes any examples, tables, graphs, references, etc.
- Abstracts should be submitted as PDF files via the abstract submission form
The abstract should include the following details: (a) sector of education in which the CLIL lesson/project was implemented, (b) grade of students, (c) school subject(s), (d) target language, (e) learning outcomes, (f) duration of CLIL lesson/project, (g) brief description of the procedure, (h) learning outcomes.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is Friday, February 3, 2023 February 12, 2023. Participants will be notified about the acceptance or rejection of their submission by February 28, 2023.
