The Institute of Culture, Democracy and Education organizes the 36th International Online Conference of Humanities and Social Sciences on Production of New Educational Material of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Intercultural Education and Administration of Education on 17-19 June, 2022.
The 36th International Conference will focus its work on three key and topical issues of education, which are:
- The evaluation and production of educational material for primary and secondary education, the publication of which is planned by the Ministry of Education and Religions : it is known that the Center for Intercultural Education of the University of Patras, the successor of which is the Institute of Culture, Democracy and Education in 2008 the 2nd International Conference of Arta on “New Educational Material of the Ministry of Education. Evaluation and Administration of Higher / Secondary / Secondary / Education ». The purpose of the conference was for the researchers to record the weaknesses and mistakes after one year of application of the educational material and to present their research. Numerous announcements were made with many remarks. The minutes of the conference were forwarded to the Ministry of Education for consideration in the republishing of the educational material. At the 36th International Conference, our aim is to make a research review of its 12-year implementation, which will be useful for the writing of the new educational material and for the package of proposals that the Ministry intends to present.
- Intercultural Education and Practices for the teaching of Greek as a second or foreign language :an issue that is constantly relevant due to the migration flows and the Greek diaspora and the transnationality of the Greek language. On the one hand, the efforts of the Greek state to control the border and settle the issue through the European Union and international agreements are ongoing. The temporary stay of some immigrants in our country but also the permanent settlement of some is an important issue for education. On the other hand, the Greek diaspora and the transnationality of the Greek language as the mother tongue of the Romanian languages, which is taught in higher education institutions and lifelong learning centers in many countries of the world, is also an issue of national importance for education and The politics.
- School management and the evaluation of education staff, the work of teachers and students : an issue, which is also of major importance, since for many decades it has occupied the educational community and scientific research at all levels.
It becomes clear, then, that the conference is of particular interest to teachers in primary, secondary and tertiary education and politics in general and is directly concerned with creating a new vision for education, which will be the starting point for the first hundred years of the present. millennium.
The minutes from the presentation of the conference presentations will be sent to all the services of the Ministry of Education, but mainly to its political bodies.
