The Laboratory of Translation, Interpreting and Communication (TICL) is organizing a one-day symposium on gender, feminism and translation studies on Friday, October 21, 2022.

Bringing together a range of voices within feminist translation studies, this one-day symposium explores the role translation has played in making women – their work, interests, concerns, and ideas – visible. The event focuses on how feminist knowledge(s) and ideas have travelled through and in translation, allowing for transnational feminist encounters and interactions to occur while challenging patriarchal systems and structures. In placing emphasis on the dynamic interplay between feminism(s) and translation, this symposium aims at stimulating further discussion and debate.

The event will be free to all, but registration is compulsory. For more information click here.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
