Abstract

This seminar will look at the methods and results of two research projects dealing with Multimodal literacy. It will consider how greater multiliteracy training through multimodal transcription can aid critical thinking. It looks at pedagogic strategies employing SFL based multimodal transcription tools (Multimodal Analysis Image Software developed by Prof. Kay O’Halloran) and monitoring tools for student progression (Komninos 2019).
