Learner corpora are essential in the field of second/foreign language research and pedagogy as they enable the systematic study of learners’ acquisition of a new language. In this light, the present Webinar will focus on the topic of learner corpora. More specifically after a short introduction to a necessary set of corpus analysis terms, a number of corpus tools will be examined (AntConc, AntWordProfiler, LancsBox, etc.) and a number of learner corpora topics will be discussed. Then, a unique learner corpus (YoLeCorE) will be described. Finally, participants will also have a hands-on experience in investigating a number of learner corpora.
